A weekend of gun and bullets incidents in Birmingham
Police sealed off two parts of Birmingham as shots were fired and straps brandished. In another incident a bag of bullets was found in Balsall Heath.
Police closed off apart of Birmingham city centre this weekend after reports of men arguing and brandishing guns.
The area was closed off while officers investigated reports of four black men arguing and brandishing guns in the Dale End area of Birmingham city centre at approx 5am on saturday morning.
This comes on the same weekend as shots were buss in Newtown Birmingham. Officers were called to Pritchett Street at around 10pm on Friday after reports of the shots.
Forensic experts sealed off the area and searched for evidence. A white tent was erected around the area where it is thought the bullets were fired.
No one was injured in either incidents. A police spokeswoman said they were not being linked to each other.
In 'another' incident in Birmingham, bullets were found in a bag that is suspected to be thrown in a bush by two young men. After the the men, aged 19 and 21, were arrested, police recovered a discarded carrier bag containing the ammunition. Police swooped on the men are they were seen acting suspiciously in Mary Street, Balsall Heath, on Thursday afternoon.
The street was sealed off while police conducted a search of the area but it was opened again early on Friday morning.
