Ja rule has been sentenced to 16 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to gun possession charges that were brough against him in 2007.

The 34 year old had been hinting of a return to the rap game for quite some time and was rumoured to have been recording his seventh studio album. However, now behind bars, he will be forced to put his plans for a comeback on hold.

On his twitter page Ja described his jail sentence as “a minor setback”. Fresh out of prison himself, Lil Wayne told US radio station shade 45 “Its super crazy and very disappointing. Me and Ja got locked up together that night so for Ja to get two years knowing I’ve already dealt with the situation and came home after being locked up for 8 months, I would imagine that’s a hard pill to swallow.”

After the succesful incarcerations of Lil Wayne and Ja Rule, the hip hop police didn’t stop celebrate their hard work with the usual round of dunking donuts, they were too busy ensurng that DMX and T.I were put back into chains.

So T.I has been banged up yet again, this time for violating his parole. The Atlanta rapper had been ordered not to use drugs under his probation conditions, but after failing a drugs test when his urine sample tested positive for ecstasy a federal judge put the rap star back behind bars for a further eleven months.

It seems T.I just can’t get enough of pen, he’d only just come home after a ten month stretch on weapons charges and already he’s back inside. He must love that sloppy prison food and after looking at pictures of his wife, one may even suggest he’s enjoying his daily shower time packed in with all those naked prisoners.
